The Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check offers more comprehensive information than a basic Criminal Records Check. It includes convictions as well as charges outstanding before the courts, arrest warrants, and judicial orders such as probation and prohibitions which still may be valid.
The CRJMC does not include a search of the pardoned sex offender database or contacts related to apprehensions under the Mental Health Act. It also does not include information related to non-convictions, or other police contacts which did not result in criminal charges being laid.
This type of check may be considered by individuals who require information to help them cross the border or to obtain a visa.
Again, this check is not intended for applicants who are seeking volunteer or employment positions working with vulnerable persons unless they are under the age of 18 years.
