The information below is relevant only to persons applying to the Parole Board of Canada for a Record Suspension (Pardon) AND have resided in Estevan within the past 5 years.
Please note – this application is only a SMALL part of the pardon process.
Welcome to the Estevan Police Service's new online process for persons needing a Local Police Record Check (Pardon). Occasionally, people hire a law firm or private company to assist them to obtain this information on their behalf, but this may be unnecessary. You can save significant time and money by doing it yourself.
All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification, and fee payment - are handled electronically. You do not need to send us the specialized record check form (Local Police Record Check). Our system will take your information and generate an electronic duplicate of this form with your details inserted in the appropriate fields.
After we process the check and there are no concerns or follow-up required, we will return the completed form to you by mail, call you to pick it up or have you download it. Once you have it back, all you need to do is sign the form in the designated spot and include it with the other paperwork you will be sending to the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) as part of your submission. The form you will receive is the same form used by the Parole Board of Canada. They have reviewed this process and confirm that it meets their requirements.
** As part of the application process, a person is required to obtain a Local Police Record Check from every police service in whose jurisdiction they have resided in the past five (5) years. If a police service does not offer online Record Suspension Applications, a copy of the Local Police Record Check must be dropped off or mailed to them by the applicant. It is part of the Record Suspension Application Guide (Step 4) available here and the complete booklet can be downloaded from the Parole Board website.
If you wish to proceed, please click the Register For Your Police Record Check button to create an account and submit your information, payment and identity verification process.
